Are you hungry? Are you ready to discover Prague’s cuisine through a fun and fact-packed food tour? Then what are you waiting for? Book your food tour today!
I personally think there is no better way than to discover a new country or city through it’s cuisine. Eat, drink and see the local people preparing their cities dishes is a way to discover a new culture. Listening to the sizzling beef, smelling fresh bread that just came out of the oven and seeing all the pastries and sandwiches being made is, to my opinion, the way to literally feed your travel urge. And it’s jummy, for sure!
Be among the locals and get a better understanding of the Czech’s. Go on a small adventure, tasting new things you didn’t know excited. Challenge yourself. Meet new friends. This is the low-key way to discover a new city during a chill afternoon, exploring sights, finding cute, tucked away places meeting locals and get some knowledge about the city and her cuisine. One thing is for sure: you don’t need any more food the rest of your day.
So.. what are you waiting for? Book your tour now and I promise you: you’re going to love the Czech cuisine!
Basics
- Yummy food: let me take you on a three hour food tour, where we will pass by five local and unique places. Explore the city through your tastebuds.
- Authentic & local: get ready to taste some authentic and local cuisine, served by enthusiastic local chefs who know a lot about the city and her dishes.
- Social: meet and socialize with like-minded people during the tour and join us for some drinks afterwards! Traveling alone and wanting to meet fellow foodie travelers? Look no further!
- Budget: did you know we offer one of the cheapest food tours in town? Try the local cuisine on a shoe string! And one thing is for sure: you don’t need any more food for the rest of your day.
So what are we going to do?
Me or another enthusiastic, food loving tour guide will take you and the rest of the group on a three hour food journey through the city. We will walk and/or take trams to differents spots, where we will eat some of the food inside and eat others on the go. You can buy optional drinks at the restaurants we’re going to or get the optional drink package. During the tour you’ll receive some fun facts about Prague and the history of its food, but don’t expect a 3 hour history lesson from us. We talk, have fun, eat and drink. Afterwards we can have some drinks in a local bar to rate the best foods we ate today. Eat with you soon!
What’s included?
- 4-5 tastings, with optional drinks (such as Czech beers and/or Czech wines);
- a food and travel loving tour guide;
- a personal e-mail before and after the tour with food and travel tips about Prague;
Allergies and substitutions
Unless you suffer from multiple, combined food allergies, or unless you are a vegan, we will figure it out.
Sounds great! How do I book?
Add the food tour to your cart, fill in your information, pay and we will eat with you soon! You will get an email confirmation as well as some jummy tips about other places to try in Prague!

I love meeting people who are passionate about food and Merel is one of those people. She took us on a tour around the beautiful city of Prague stopping at 5 different locations to try some local Czech food. The selection of food we tried was a good balance of sweet and savoury. I was not only impressed by the places we went to but also by the value for money based on the quality and quantity of food we got to try throughout the 3 hour tour. Thank you Merel for bringing us on this food journey of yours! 🙂

I joined the tour with an international group of friends. For couple hours, we kept trying so many different mini dishes and ended the tour with AMAZING desserts. We loved exploring the city this way, and the tour guide was so friendly and added to the atmosphere. At the end of the tour we were all full and with happy stomachs xD

An excellent tour, full of information and tasty food. I was lucky enough that the farmers market was on and we were shown around it.
Be prepared to try several types of food and a lovely dessert in different locations around the beautiful city of Prague, and be very full at the end of the tour.

Merel organized a Prague food tour for the hostel I stayed in last month. It was absolutely wonderful! You could tell that the itinerary was thoughtfully researched and curated to span sweet vs savory, traditional vs modern vs street food, and all other dimensions of Czech cuisine. All the restaurants were prepared for our group, and the portions were appropriately sized to fill you up exactly at the last stop.
Best of all, the price was *substantially* more affordable than your average food tour — perfect for budget travelers!

The food tour from Merel is a perfect combination of seeing beautiful Prague and eating delicious typical Czech food. Not only do you eat delicious food you also will listen to the interesting stories behind it!
Be warned, do not eat before the tour because you want to be sure you can try EVERYTHING :)))

I went on a food tour through Copenhagen (instead of Prague) and although it was also the first time for Merel there it felt like she already knew her way around the city and the nice places for good food!

Even tough I’ve visited Prague for already so many times, the tour surprised me! Explored so many new typical (delicious) Czech food. The tour was inspiring, fun and creative! By walking through the city, hearing the lovely stories from Merel and tasting delicatessen from the city / country made me fall even more in love with Prague! Thank you for the tour Merel!

Just finished taking a tour with Yon, and I have to say this is a must. If you’re looking for a tour showcasing true traditional Czech food that will leave you happy, this is it. The food was excellent alongside the conversation and the few beers I decided to add on.
Can’t recommend this enough!

A very interesting way to explore the culture and the city and a good way to get in contact with a person that knows a lot about the city and country. Fits the tourists that’s more interested in food than in history (or both)
I recommend to give this tour a shot. 🙂

The tour was great, the guide showed us around the nearby sites and had a lot of useful advice for everything about Prague. It would be great to do this tour as the first stop in Prague! On top of that there is a lot of delicious food and conversation.

The tour guide, Zina was very good at taking our group to four different places around Prague and I think she would deserve 4/5 stars on her tour alone. She was very helpful in answering questions the group had and also took us to a couple of different eateries in the city centre but also one eatery that was situated in a neighbouring area of Prague (although the eatery has locations in the old town and castle side too). She explained the different options within each eatery and how they relate to broader Czech history and culture. I had to head off straight after three hours, she was a good advocate for being on time with specific eateries and booking a table for us, and also arranging for my last dish to be served promptly with a takeaway bag! Full kudos to Zina! Going on a food tour is a helpful introduction to the life of a city so enjoy!
